I am currently a PhD student at University of Delaware and have an MSN from the University of Delaware. My BSN is from the State University of New York at Downstate. I have been a nurse for 23 years and have worked at Bayhealth in Dover for the past 19. Currently I am a Cardiac Clinical Nurse Specialist focused on improving self-management skills of patients living with heart failure. I am a member of several nursing organizations, but most recently have been the former chapter president for the Delaware chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses and served as the chapter president of the Diamond State chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. I was one of the founders of the Bayhealth Diversity and Spirituality Planetree committee and continue to teach a session on Cultural Sensitivity in the Bayhealth Nurse Residency program.
